Malignant Melanoma of the Uterus Presenting as Post-menopausal Bleeding

An 86-year-old Caucasian woman was referred on an urgent basis to the on-call team for post menopausal bleeding. She had been bleeding quite heavily and was also experiencing lower abdominal pains over the previous 2 days. She was multiparous with no significant medical history of any gynaecological problems.
