| Dysfunctional uterine bleeding To arrest bleeding: 10 mg bid for 5-7 days. To prevent bleeding: 10 mg bid day 11-25 of the cycle. Threatened abortion 40 mg at once, then 10 mg every 8 hr until symptoms remit. Habitual abortion 10 mg bid until the 20th wk of pregnancy. Dysmenorrhea 10 mg bid from day 5-25 of the cycle. Endometriosis 10 mg bid or tid from day 5-25 of the cycle or continuously. Amenorrhea An estrogen once daily from day 1-25 of the cycle, together w/ 10 mg dydrogesterone bid from day 11-25 of the cycle. Premenstrual syndrome, irregular cycles 10 mg bid from day 11-25 of the cycle. Infertility due to luteal insufficiency 10 mg daily from day 14-25 of the cycle. Treatment should be maintained for at least 6 consecutive cycles. Postmenopausal complaints In combination w/ continuous estrogen therapy: 10-20 mg daily during the last 14 days/cycle of 28 days. In combination w/ cyclical estrogen therapy: 10 mg daily during the last 12-14 days of estrogen therapy. |

| Regular breast exams. |
| Breakthrough bleeding (prevented by increasing the dosage). Altered liver function w/ asthenia or malaise, jaundice & abdominal pain. Allergic rash, pruritus, urticaria.
