Indications/Uses
HTN, stable angina &/or Prinzmetal/variant angina.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Initially 5 mg daily, may be increased to 10 mg daily. Elderly & patients w/ hepatic insufficiency Initially 2.5 mg once daily.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to dihydropyridines. Severe HTN. Pregnancy & lactation.
Special Precautions
Impaired hepatic or renal function. Patients w/ NYHA III & IV heart failure. Elderly.
Adverse Reactions
Dizziness, headache, facial redness, flushing, somnolence; muscle fatigue; peripheral oedema, palpitation; abdominal pain, nausea; drowsiness.
