Indications/Uses
Major depressive disorders.
Dosage/Direction for Use
10 mg daily.
Contraindications
Concomitant use with MAOIs. Childn <18 yr.
Special Precautions
History of mania. Development of spectrum syndrome.
Adverse Reactions
Nausea, diarrhoea, constipation, increased sweating, ejaculation disorder, impotence.
Drug Interactions
MAOI, selegiline, serotonergic drugs (eg tramadol, sumatriptan & other triptans), drugs which lowers seizure threshold, lithium, tryptophan, St. John's wort, oral anticoagulants, alcohol. CPY2C19 inhibitors (eg omeprazole, esomeprazole, fluoxetine, fluvoxamine, lansoprazole, ticlopidine), cimetidine, CYP2D6 inhibitors (eg flecainide, propafenone & metoprolol), other CNS-acting drugs.
