Indications/Uses
Impetigo, erythema & other localised primary bacterial skin infection w/ gm -ve component. Secondary bacterial infections complicating other pre-existing dermatoses.

Special Precautions
Discontinue use if irritation, sensitivity or other reaction develop & institute appropriate treatment. Can be absorbed in sufficient amounts producing systemic effects (eg, hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis suppression, manifestation of Cushing’s syndrome, hyperglycaemia, glucosuria). Take precautions during prolonged treatment, when treating extensive body surface areas, when using occlusive technique & when treating childn. Prolonged use may result in overgrowth of non-susceptible organisms including fungi. Pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Betamethasone dipropionate: Burning sensation, itching, irritation, dryness, folliculitis, hypertrichosis, acneiform eruptions, hypopigmentation, maceration of the skin, secondary infection, skin atrophy, striae, miliria. Gentamicin sulphate: Ototoxicity, nephrotoxicity, hypersensitivity reactions.
