COLLAWELL Arthri-well - A UNIQUE Joint Formula that keeps the patient mobile and flexible.
COLLAWELL Arthri-well is a 4-in-1 combination formula featuring pure hydrolyzed collagen Type II, methylsulfonylmethane (MSM), hyaluronic acid with added Vit C which work synergistically to support general health and well-being. It offers a safe and convenient way to help replenish the body's collagen supply.
Contains only key active ingredients without added fats, carbohydrates and preservatives.
Source of Collagen: Bovine from Germany.
Hydrolyzed collagen stimulates cell growth in joint cartilage. This natural substance induces the formation of new cartilage tissue and restores cartilage degradation resulting from sports activity, work related stress and the natural aging process. People suffering from joint problems may regain mobility and enjoy much-improved quality of life.
Collagen Hydrolysate Type II (93.4%/sachet): Provides a uniquely healthful amino acid profile to help maintain the structure of various connective tissues of the skin, bone, tendon and ligaments.
Accumulates in cartilage tissue and stimulates the production of Type II collagen and proteoglycans in the extracellular matrix of cartilage.
Hyaluronic Acid (0.6%/sachet): Found abundantly in synovial fluid to maintain high fluid viscosity and the normal integrity of joint.
Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) (5%/sachet): It is a micronutrient which exert anti-inflammatory effect which may help to reduce pain and injury due to daily activities (indoor & outdoor) when used in combination with Type II collagen.
Vitamin C (1%/sachet): Vitamin C is a necessary co-factor in collagen synthesis and is known to increase the production of collagen and promote the synthesis of new, healthy collagen in the body.
Clinical Studies: There have been medical observations, key laboratory and clinical studies on the effect of the Collagen Hydrolysate on joint health carried out over the past 20 years by international leading experts of different medical disciplines.
All clinical studies reveal positive effects of Collagen Hydrolysate on joint health, especially on osteoarthritis, for example: significant reduction of pain; reduced need for analgesics; improvement of joint mobility.
Studies conducted by Dr Roland Moskowitz, Director of the Arthritis Research Institute, Cleveland/USA and Prof. Milan Adam, Professor of Rheumatology at the University of Prague reveal the positive effects of Collagen Hydrolysate on joint health, especially on osteoarthritis.
Accumulation of Collagen Hydrolysate in joint cartilage 96 hours after oral administration: See figure.

Dr. Steffen Oesser, physiologist at the University of Kiel, Germany, estimated roughly that approximately 90% of the orally administered collagen hydrolysate would be absorbed 5 times faster than just collagen within 6 hours from the gastrointestinal tract. This means Collagen Hydrolysate is easily digested and absorbed into the body to reach targeted joint areas.
Why should the patient take COLLAWELL Arthri-well?: Arthri-well's ingredient collagen hydrolysate is a type II collagen which is abundant in cartilage and eyes. It's unique in its amino acid structure because of its high amounts of glycine, lysine and proline, which are found in lower amounts in other protein food supplements. These particular amino acids are found to generate cell growth much quicker because of the natural ability to produce supporting amounts of connective tissue that diminishes as people aged. May help to increase joint mobility.
Who can take COLLAWELL Arthri-well?: Studies have shown that collagen hydrolysate in Arthri-well's ingredient is an ideal nutritional supplement for anyone wanting to stay fit and well or who want to reduce the risk of degenerative joint disease. Collagen hydrolysate plays an important role for use in individuals at risk for development of joint degeneration. It also benefits individuals participating in extensive non-occupational physical activities including recreational runners/walkers, cyclists, gym members, self-defense art, soccer/football players; individuals with a past history of significant joint injury such as fracture or ligamentous injury; and individuals with a family history suggesting a genetic predisposition of osteoarthritis.
Dosage/Direction for Use
How should the patient take COLLAWELL Arthri-well?: Dissolve one sachet (10g) of Arthri-well in either warm or room temperature beverage (not in hot water).
Should COLLAWELL Arthri-well intake be stopped if the patient is experiencing more pain in several areas of the body?: Initial phase of Arthri-well consumption is not related to the product but may be due to the 'ups and downs' of pain in osteoarthritis. People who are diagnosed with osteoarthritis may feel pain on certain days. If the patient experiences pain not related to osteoarthritis, confirm with medical doctor on the condition before taking Arthri-well.
How soon should the patient begin to see any effects?: Studies conducted recommend a daily intake of 10 grams of collagen hydrolysate for at least three months or less. Results vary among individuals.
If the patient is currently taking glucosamine supplement, should the addition of COLLAWELL Arthri-well be considered?: The cartilage is a dense, elastic and very rich in collagen (about 70%) conjunctive tissue. On top of supplementing the body with glucosamine supplement, the patient may consider to take Arthri-well. The hydrolyzed collagen is quickly absorbed after ingestion and readily deposited in the body's tissues which will then help to prevent cartilage degradation and regain joint mobility. The patient might begin to notice desirable effects after three months or less. Results vary among individuals.
Dosage: 1 pack per day mix with water, juice.

Drug Interactions

On the other hand, Vitamin C powder induces an eight-fold increase in the synthesis of collagen. In short, the combination of the ingredients definitely give synergistic effect in relieving joint pains due to osteoarthritis.
Can COLLAWELL Arthri-well still be taken if the patient is on medication?: Arthri-well is a food supplement and not a pharmaceutical drug with no known interactions with other medications or food.
