Flupentixol 0.5 mg, melitracen 10 mg
Indications/Uses
Anxiety, depression, asthenia. Psychogenic depressions, depressive neuroses. Masked depression. Psychosomatic affections accompanied by anxiety & apathy. Menopausal depression.
Dosage/Direction for Use
2 tab daily. Maintenance: 1 tab every morning.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Extreme agitation; cardiac disorders, CV insufficiency; bone marrow depression; comatose states. Patients receiving MAOIs w/in 14 days.
Special Precautions
Parkinsonism; renal, hepatic or CV disease; pregnancy, lactation; elderly, debilitated; resp disorders; diabetes; phaeochromocytoma; epilepsy; glaucoma, urinary retention, prostatic hypertrophy.
Adverse Reactions
Restlessness, insomnia, anticholinergic effects, tachycardia, orthostatic hypotension.
Drug Interactions
Cannot be given concomitantly w/ MAOIs. Previous treatment w/ tranquillisers (withdraw gradually).
