Per mL EpiPen Epinephrine 0.3 mg. EpiPen Jr 0.15 mg

Indications/Uses

Emergency treatment of allergic reactions (type 1) including anaphylaxis to stinging & biting insects, allergen immunotherapy, foods, drugs, diagnostic testing substances & other allergens, as well as idiopathic or exercise-induced anaphylaxis.

Dosage/Direction for Use

≥30 kg 0.3 mg; 15-30 kg 0.15 mg. Doses to be administered as IM or SC into anterolateral aspect of thigh.

Special Precautions

Cardiac arrhythmias, coronary artery or organic heart disease, HTN, DM, hyperthyroidism. Temporary worsening of Parkinson's disease. Do not administer to buttock. Do not inject IV. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn. Elderly.

Adverse Reactions

Transient, moderate anxiety; apprehensiveness; restlessness; tremor; weakness; dizziness; sweating; palpitations; pallor; nausea & vomiting; headache; &/or resp difficulties. Arrhythmias; ventricular fibrillation; cerebral hemorrhage; angina.

Drug Interactions

Concomitant w/ digitalis, diuretics, quinidine, other antiarrhythmics, TCAs, MAOIs, levothyroxine Na, chlorpheniramine, tripelennamine, diphenhydramine, propranolol, phentolamine.
