Indications/Uses
Symptomatic relief of seasonal allergic rhinitis & perennial rhinitis in adults & childn ≥3 yr. Treatment of nasal polyps in adults ≥18 yr.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Seasonal allergic rhinitis & perennial rhinitis Adult & childn >12 yr 2 sprays into each nostril once daily. Max: 4 sprays into each nostril once daily. Childn 3-11 yr 1 spray into each nostril once daily. Nasal polyps Adult ≥18 yr 2 sprays into each nostril once daily. If symptoms are not controlled after 5-6 wk, increase to 2 sprays in each nostril bd.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Infection in the nose. Recent operation on the nose or injured nose.
Special Precautions
Patients w/ TB or history of TB; any other type of infection; cystic fibrosis. Concomitant use w/ corticosteroids, either by oral or by inj. Avoid coming into contact w/ anyone who has measles or chickenpox. Contains benzalkonium Cl which may cause nasal irritation. Pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Immediate hypersensitivity reactions. Headache, sneezing, nose bleeds, sore nose or throat, ulcers in the nose, resp tract infection.
