Indications/Uses
Local treatment of rheumatic or traumatic pain in the osteo-articular & muscular system eg, contusions, distortions, sprains, muscle strains, stiff neck, lumbago.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Apply a thin layer to the affected skin area once daily or bd.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to ketoprofen, acetylsalicylic acid or other NSAIDs & phenofibrate. Pregnancy & lactation.
Special Precautions
Discontinue immediately in case of any skin reaction eg, cutaneous reactions after co-application w/ octocrylene-containing prep. Do not apply to areas near open wounds or continuous skin lesions, or to the periocular area. Risk of sensitisation or local irritation upon prolonged use. Risk of hypersensitivity or asthma upon excessive use. Avoid contact w/ direct sunlight, including solarium, during treatment & for 2 wk afterwards. Patients w/ serious kidney failure.
Drug Interactions
Blood testing in patients under treatment w/ coumarinics (oral anti-clotting agents) is recommended.
