Indications/Uses
Treatment of androgenetic alopecia (male pattern hair loss) in male 18-41 yr.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Administration
May be taken with or without food: Swallow whole, do not crush/divide.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Concomitant administration w/ other 5α-reductase inhibitor for benign prostatic hyperplasia or any other condition. Prevention of prostate cancer. Women. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn <18 yr.
Special Precautions
Care should be exercised in pregnant women not to touch broken or divided tab. Monitor prostate-specific antigen levels in serum before initiating & during therapy. Increased risk of high-grade prostate cancer.
Adverse Reactions
Uncommonly, decreased sex drive, depressed mood, difficulty having an erection, problems w/ ejaculation eg, decreased amount of semen released.
