Dosage/Direction for Use
IV Adult 500 mg (100 mg/mL). Childn 7.7 mg/kg (or 35 mg/10 lb), up to a max of 500 mg. Inject dose rapidly into the antecubital vein.

Special Precautions
History of allergy or bronchial asthma. Avoid extravasation. Nausea &/or vomiting & GI distress w/in 1st few min following inj. Pregnancy & lactation.

Adverse Reactions
Temporary yellowish discoloration of the skin & urine; nausea, vomiting, GI distress; headache; hypersensitivity reactions; thrombophlebitis at the inj site. Cardiac arrest, basilar artery ischaemia, severe shock; convulsions, syncope.
