Per tab Fe fumarate 300 mg, vit B1 5 mg, vit B6 5 mg, vit B12 15 mcg, folic acid 500 mcg
Indications/Uses
Vit, Fe & folic acid supplement for patients w/ Fe-deficiency anemia or nutritional anemia.
Dosage/Direction for Use
1 tab daily.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Primary haemochromatosis, peptic ulcer, regional enteritis, ulcerative colitis. Patients receiving parenteral Fe  or blood transfusions to avoid Fe overload.
Adverse Reactions
Nausea, vomiting, bloating, upper abdominal discomfort; temporary staining of teeth; darker stools.
Drug Interactions
Decreased Fe absorption w/ antacids & tetracyclines. Fe may decrease conc of quinolones (eg, ciprofloxacin, norfloxacin, ofloxacin, levofloxacin).
ATC Classification
B03AE10 - various combinations ; Belongs to the class of iron in other combinations. Used in the treatment of anemia.
