Per 5 mL Diphenhydramine HCl 14 mg, ammon Cl 135 mg, Na citrate 57 mg
Indications/Uses
Control of cough due to colds or allergy & alleviation of nasal & bronchial congestion.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult 10 mL. Childn 7-12 yr 5 mL. Max: 20 mL/day. 2-6 yr 2.5 mL. Max: 10 mL/day. All doses to be taken 6 hrly.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Hepatic or renal impairment. Newborn or premature infant. Lactation.
Special Precautions
Glaucoma, prostatic hypertrophy, CV disease, HTN or acute asthma. May affect ability to drive or operate machinery. Pregnancy.
Adverse Reactions
Drowsiness, nausea, vomiting. Elderly: Dryness of mouth & urinary retention in males.
Drug Interactions
Alcohol, other CNS depressants, TCAs, antimuscarinics; MAOIs may prolong the effect of diphenhydramine.

R05CA10 - combinations ; Belongs to the class of expectorants. Used in the treatment of wet cough.
