Description
Jevity contains the following ingredients: Water, maltodextrin, sodium and calcium caseinates (milk), corn syrup solids, soy polysaccharides, high oleic safflower oil, canola oil, soy protein, medium-chain triglycerides, tribasic calcium phosphate, potassium citrate, magnesium chloride, emulsifier (soy lecithin), sodium citrate, potassium chloride, magnesium sulfate, choline chloride, ascorbic acid, stabilizer (carrageenan), taurine, L-carnitine, zinc sulfate, dl-α-tocopheryl acetate, ferrous sulfate, niacinamide, d-calcium pantothenate, citric acid, manganese sulfate, cupric sulfate, vitamin A palmitate, thiamine HCl, pyridoxine HCl, riboflavin, biotin, folic acid, chromium chloride, sodium molybdate, potassium iodide, sodium selenate, phylloquinone, cyanocobalamin and vitamin D3.

Action
Jevity is an isotonic, fiber-fortified, high-nitrogen liquid formula that provides complete and balanced nutrition.
Indications/Uses
Suitable as a sole or supplement source of nutrition for patients with short- or long-term tube feeding requiring a fiber-containing diet, general tube-feeding patients eg, patients inserted with nasogastric tube, nasoduodenal tube, and gastrostomy tube; Tube-feeding patients with diarrhea or constipation who need additional dietary fiber to help normalize bowel movement and for patients who have lactose intolerance.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Use under medical supervision; individualised dosage. Not for parenteral use.
Contraindications
Patients with galactosemia.
Special Precautions
Use in children: Not intended for use in children, unless recommended by a physician or other qualified healthcare professional.
Caution For Usage
Instruction for Use/Handling: Shake well, Jevity is ready to use.
Oral Feeding: Once opened, cover and place in a refrigerator. Discard if not used within 24 hrs.
Tube Feeding: Use under physician or other qualified health care professional. During tube feeding, the flow rate and volume dependent in patient's condition and tolerance. Additional fluid requirements should be met by giving water. Care should be taken to avoid contamination of Jevity during preparation and administration. Product should stay no longer than 8 hrs at the bedside.
Storage
Store unopened at normal room temperature. Once opened, store covered in the refrigerator and use within 24 hrs.
