Treatment of glaucoma when β-blocker eye drops used alone are not adequate.
Dosage/Direction for Use
1 drop in the affected eye(s) bd. When using w/ another eye drop, leave at least 10 min between putting each medicine.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. History or current resp problems eg, asthma, severe chronic obstructive bronchitis; severe kidney problems or history of kidney stones; disturbance in blood pH; heart problems including heart rhythm disturbance w/ abnormally slow heart rate or severe heart failure.
Special Precautions
History of heart disease. History/current liver problems, muscle weakness, myasthenia gravis; breathing problems, asthma or COPD, Prinzmetal's angina, other heart problems, CHD, poor blood circulation disease, low BP & diabetes. Conjunctivitis, swelling of the eye/eyelids, skin rash, itching in & around the eye; eye infection, injury, surgery. Operation & use of anaesth. Contains benzalkonium Cl. May impair ability to drive & use machines. Pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Burning & stinging of the eyes, taste disturbances. Redness in & around the eye(s), watering or itching of the eye(s), effects on the surface of the eye(s), swelling &/or irritation in & around the eye(s), corneal erosion, decreased corneal sensitivity, eye pain, dry eyes, blurred vision, headache, sinusitis, nausea & fatigue.
