Minoxidil
Indications/Uses
Moderate hair loss (androgenetic alopecia).
Dosage/Direction for Use
Apply 1 mL on the scalp bd. Max: 2 mL daily.
Contraindications
Severe hair loss or hair loss caused by a disease or medical treatment. Lesions on the scalp. Patient <18 yr or >65 yr.
Special Precautions
Heart disease. Do not apply if irritation, persistent red spots, inflammation or painful scalp occur. Avoid contact w/ eyes, wounds or mucous membranes. Avoid sun exposure of treated scalp. Minoxidil 5% is not recommended in women due to risk of hypertrichosis. Pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Local irritation w/ desquamation, itching, red spots, dry skin, hypertrichosis, burning pains, eczema.
