Vitamin B-complex.
Description
Each ampoule of 3 ml contains: Thiamine HCl (vitamin B1) 100 mg, pyridoxine HCl (vitamin B6) 100 mg, cyanocobalamine (vitamin B12) 1 mg; potassium cyanide 0.25 mg, preservative: benzyl alcohol 30 mg, water for injection.
Each film-coated tablet contains: Thiamine nitrate (vitamin B1) 200 mg, pyridoxine HCl (vitamin B6) 50 mg, cyanocobalamine (vitamin B12) 1000 mcg, colour E127 (erythrosine) and other excipients.
Indications/Uses
Neurorubine: Consecutive symptoms of chronic alcoholism (peripheral neuropathy, Wernicke-Korsakow syndrome); diabetic polyneuropathy; beriberi (dry and wet). Adjuvant in acute or chronic neuritis and polyneuritis; trigeminal neuralgia; cervicobrachial neuralgia; ischialgia.
Neurorubine Forte: Adjuvant in neuritic pain (acute or chronic neuritis and polyneuritis); neuralgia; toxic damage of the nerve tissue (alcoholism, diabetic polyneuropathy, drug intoxication).
Dosage/Direction for Use
Neurorubine: Severe cases: 1 amp IM daily or every 2nd day until pain relief. Afterwards, 1 amp 1 or 2 times a week. Moderate cases: 1 amp 1 or 2 times a week.
No dose recommendations for children.
Neurorubine Forte: 1-2 tablets/day.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to vitamins B1, B6, B12 or excipients; psoriasis.
Neurorubine: IV injection.
Special Precautions
Neurorubine: Possible anaphylactoid reactions after repeated IM injections.
Use in pregnancy & lactation: Only if potential benefit outweighs foetal risk.
Use in children: Should not be used in children.

Adverse Reactions
Inhibited release of prolactin; reduced therapeutic effect of levodopa unless a decarboxylase inhibitor is given at the same time; increase in SGOT in the serum; acne; acne-like rash.
Rarely: Anaphylactoid reactions in patients hypersensitive to vitamins B1, B6, B12.
Neurorubine Forte: Sweating, feeling of weakness, globus symptoms.
Drug Interactions
L-dopa; isoniazide; thiosemicarbazone; 5-fluorouracil; antacids.
