Clindamycin phosphate 1.2%, benzoyl peroxide 3.75%
Indications/Uses
Topical treatment of acne vulgaris in patients ≥12 yr.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Apply a pea-sized amount of gel to the face once daily. Not for oral, ophth, or intravaginal use.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to clindamycin, benzoyl peroxide, or lincomycin. History of regional enteritis, ulcerative colitis, or antibiotic-associated colitis.
Special Precautions
Reports of diarrhea, bloody diarrhea, & colitis (including pseudomembranous colitis). Discontinue in case of significant diarrhea. Minimize sun exposure following application.
Adverse Reactions
Burning sensation, contact dermatitis, pruritus, rash.
Drug Interactions
Clindamycin: Do not use in combination w/ erythromycin-containing products.
