Why do I need this medicine?
Sodium Fluoride is used to prevent tooth decay in children and adults.
How do I use this medicine?
Use Sodium Fluoride exactly as directed as by your doctor or according to the instructions on the label. Do not use more or less than instructed by your doctor.

Sodium Fluoride is available as a foam, cream, paste, gel, and rinsing solution.

If you are using Sodium Fluoride cream or paste, apply topically to teeth using a toothbrush, brush thoroughly for a few minutes then spit it out. If you are using Sodium Fluoride gel, apply topically to teeth using a toothbrush or mouthpiece applicator for at least one minute then spit it out.

If you are using Sodium Fluoride rinsing solution, rinse the mouth for 1 minute before spitting out. Use Sodium Fluoride rinsing solution at bedtime after brushing your teeth thoroughly.

Do not swallow the cream. paste, gel, or rinsing solution and for optimum benefit, do not eat, drink, or rinse your mouth for at least 30 minutes after use.

Some Sodium Fluoride formulations such as foams and concentrated solutions can be applied to teeth by a dental personnel.
When should I not use this medicine?
Do not use Sodium Fluoride if you have a history of allergic reactions (swollen eyes or mouth, difficulty breathing, rashes) to this medicine.
What should I take note of while using this medicine?
Inform your doctor if you have kidney disease and undergoing dialysis.

Let your doctor know if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Children younger than 12 years of age should be supervised or instructed carefully to ensure that the correct technique is used to avoid excessive use or ingestion of Sodium Fluoride.

Avoid concurrent use with other Sodium Fluoride containing products unless directed by your dentist or doctor.
What side effects could I experience?
Sodium Fluoride may cause discoloration of the teeth, skin rash, nausea, and mouth ulcers.

Inform your doctor if any of these side effects do not go away or are severe, or if you experience other side effects.
Can I use this with other medicines?
Do not use Sodium Fluoride with aluminium, calcium or magnesium salt containing medicine.

Always inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking any other medicines, including herbal tonics such as traditional Chinese medicines, supplements and medicines that you buy without a prescription.
What special dietary instructions should I follow?
Avoid alcohol and dairy products.
How should I store this medicine?
Store in a cool, dry place away from the reach of children.

Medicines must not be used past the expiry date.
