Chlorzoxazone

Indications/Uses

Painful spastic symptoms associated w/ muscular disorders (back pain, cervical syndrome, periarthritis of the shoulder & spondylitis deformans).

Dosage/Direction for Use

Adult 200-400 mg tds-qds.

Administration

Should be taken with food.

Special Precautions

Impaired liver or kidney function.

Adverse Reactions

Drowsiness, dizziness, lightheadedness, weakness, GI disturbances. Hypersensitivity reactions eg, skin rash, pruritus. Urine may turn yellow.

Drug Interactions

Adverse CNS effects may be enhanced by CNS depressants, phenothiazines, MAOIs, alcohol.
