Indications/Uses
Suplasyn Symptomatic treatment of OA. Suplasyn m.d. Supplement for small synovial joints.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Suplasyn Depending upon joint size, up to 2 mL administered intra-articularly. Recommended schedule: 1 inj/wk for 3 wk or up to 6 may be given depending on the patient's condition. Suplasyn m.d. Depending upon joint size, up to 0.7 mL administered intra-articularly. Recommended schedule: 1 inj/wk for 3 wk.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Intra-vascular inj.
Special Precautions
Inflammation/irritation of the joint. Patient should rest 24-48 hr after inj & avoid any strenuous activity over the full course of treatment. Transient short duration pain may occur following inj. Avoid use w/ sterilising or sanitising agents containing quaternary ammon salts soln. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn.
Adverse Reactions
Mild local reaction eg, pain, feeling of heat, hyperthermia, redness, effusion, irritation & swelling/inflammation. Systemic reactions eg, fever, chills or CV reactions.
