In the event of a medical emergency, tell any health care professional that Tigerfil has been taken because it may interfere with some medicines, especially those used to treat chest pain.
Avoid concomitant use with drugs eg, nitrates, nitric oxide donors eg, amyl nitrite (poppers) as the combination may lead to a potentially dangerous decrease in blood pressure.
Protease inhibitors eg, for the treatment of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), physician may lower the dose to 25 mg.
Some patients who take α-blocker therapy for the treatment of high blood pressure or prostate problems may experience dizziness or lightheadedness, which may be caused by low blood pressure upon sitting or standing up quickly. Certain patients have experienced these symptoms when taking Tigerfil with α-blockers. This is most likely to occur within 4 hrs after taking Tigerfil. In order to reduce the likelihood that these symptoms occur, patient should be on a regular daily dose of α-blocker before starting with Tigerfil. Physician may start with a lower dose of Tigerfil 25 mg.
Drinking alcohol can temporarily impair ability to get an erection. To get the maximum benefit, do not drink excessive amounts of alcohol before taking Tigerfil.
