Trimetazidine diHCl
Indications/Uses
Add-on therapy for symptomatic treatment of patients w/ stable angina pectoris who are inadequately controlled by or intolerant to 1st-line antianginal therapy.
Administration
Should be taken with food.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Parkinson disease, parkinsonian symptoms, tremors, restless leg syndrome, other movement-related disorders. Severe renal impairment (CrCl <30 mL/min).
Special Precautions
Not to be used as curative treatment for angina attacks, initial treatment for unstable angina, MI, pre-hospital phase & during 1st days of hospitalisation. Moderate renal impairment. Elderly >75 yr. May impair ability to drive or operate machinery. Pregnancy & lactation. Elderly >75 yr.
Adverse Reactions
Dizziness, headache, abdominal pain, diarrhoea, dyspepsia, nausea, vomiting, rash, pruritus, urticaria, asthenia.
