Moxifloxacin HCl
Indications/Uses
Treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis caused by certain susceptible strains of aerobic gram +ve, aerobic gram -ve, & other microorganisms.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Instill 1 drop in the affected eye tds for 7 days.
Contraindications
History of hypersensitivity to moxifloxacin & other quinolones.
Special Precautions
Not for inj. Hypersensitivity. Prolonged use may result in overgrowth of non-susceptible organisms. Do not wear contact lenses in case of bacterial conjunctivitis. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn <1 yr.
Adverse Reactions
Conjunctivitis, decreased visual acuity, dry eye, keratitis, ocular discomfort, ocular hyperemia, ocular pain, ocular pruritus, subconjunctival hemorrhage, tearing; fever, increased cough, infection, otitis media, pharyngitis, rash, & rhinitis.
