Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult: PO Prevention of vit A deficiency 6-15 mg/day. Reduce severity of photosensitivity reactions in patients w/ erythropoietic protoporphyria 30-300 mg/day.
Administration
Should be taken with food.
Special Precautions
Excess intake may cause yellow discoloration of the skin.
Adverse Reactions
Loose stools, bruising, dizziness and arthralgia.

D02BB01 - betacarotene ; Belongs to the class of systemic protectives used in the protection against UV-radiation.
A11CA02 - betacarotene ; Belongs to the class of vitamin A. Used as dietary supplements.
