Action
Mepartricin is a polyene antibacterial with antifungal and antiprotozoal activity. It has been used orally, topically and as pessaries in the treatment of fungal infections. Mepartricin has a binding effect on sex hormones in the gut and is given by mouth for the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia.
