Special Precautions
Patient w/ GERD, GI inflammation/ulceration, biliary diseases (e.g. bile obstruction, cholangitis, gallstones), hiatal hernia. Childn. Pregnancy and lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Significant: Heartburn, perianal irritation, severe constipation, blood in faeces, difficulty or pain during urination, abnormal vag bleeding or discharge, wt loss, anorexia, fever. Immunologic: Rarely, allergic reactions (manifested by headache, bradycardia, ataxia, tremor, anaphylactic shock, erythematous skin rash).
Drug Interactions
May interfere w/ the clearance of drugs which are mediated by CYP3A4 enzyme.
