Amlodipine besylate
Indications/Uses
HTN, 1st line treatment for MI, combination or monotherapy for angina.
Dosage/Direction for Use
HTN & angina Initially 5 mg once daily, may be increased to max dose of 10 mg. Chronic stable or vasospastic angina 5-10 mg. Small, fragile, elderly or patient w/ hepatic insufficiency Initially 2.5 mg once daily.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Special Precautions
CHF. Hepatic & renal impairment. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn. Elderly.
Adverse Reactions
Headache, edema, fatigue, somnolence, nausea, abdominal pain, flushing, palpitations & dizziness.
