Al hydroxide 200 mg, Mg hydroxide 200 mg
Indications/Uses
Symptoms associated w/ excessive gastric acid; gastritis, peptic & duodenal ulcers w/ symptoms eg, nausea, gastric pain & heartburn.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult
1-2 chewable tab 3-4 times daily.
Childn 6-12 yr
½-1 chewable tab 3-4 times daily.
Administration
Should be taken on an empty stomach: Take 1-2 hr after meals & at bedtime. Chew tab thoroughly before swallowing.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Renal impairment.
Special Precautions
Patients under low-P diet. Do not use >2 wk. Childn <6 yr.
Adverse Reactions
Urticaria, skin rashes, pruritus, angioedema & GI disorders eg, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, glossitis & stomatitis.
