Indications/Uses
Acute & chronic treatment of RA, OA & ankylosing spondylitis.
Dosage/Direction for Use
RA 50 mg 1-2 times daily. OA 50 mg 1-2 times daily. Ankylosing spondylitis 50 mg 1-2 times daily.
Administration
Should be taken with food: Swallow whole w/ water.
Contraindications
Patients w/ asthma, urticaria or allergy due to aspirin or other NSAIDs. Gastric ulcer.
Special Precautions
CV thrombotic event, HTN, CHF, edema; history of GI ulcer or bleeding.
Adverse Reactions
Abdominal pain or spasm, headache, urinary retention, diarrhea, nausea, constipation, flatulence, abnormality result of liver function test, indigestion, gastric ulcer, dizziness, rash, pruritus, tinnitus, increased aminotransferase enzyme (SGOT, SGPT), hepatitis; thrombocytopenia, leucopenia, anemia, agranulocytosis.
Drug Interactions
Plasma conc & AUC may be reduced w/ aspirin. Increase conc of digoxin, methotrexate, cyclosporine & lithium in plasma. Reduced the activity of diuretic agents.

M02AA15 - diclofenac ; Belongs to the class of non-steroidal antiinflammatory preparations for topical use. Used in the treatment of joint and muscular pains.
M01AB05 - diclofenac ; Belongs to the class of acetic acid derivatives and related substances of non-steroidal antiinflammatory and antirheumatic products.
