Mild low-calorie diets for obese patients w/ BMI ≥30 kg/m2 or those overwt w/ BMI ≥28 kg/m2 w/ risk factors.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult 120 mg daily.
Administration
Should be taken with food: Take immediately before or during or up to 1 hr after each main meal. If a meal is missed or contains no fat, the dose may be omitted.
Patients w/ type 2 diabetes. Reduce dose of hypoglycemic drugs eg, sulfonylurea (orlistat induces wt loss in line w/ increased metabolic control). Pregnancy.
