Tioconazole
Indications/Uses
Dermal infections due to susceptible fungi.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Massage into the affected & surrounding skin area once or twice daily. Duration: Tinea versicolor 7 days. Severe cases of tinea pedis especially chronic hyperkeratotic type Up to 6 wk. Dermatophyte infections at other sites, candidiasis & erythrasma 2-4 wk.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to imidazole antifungal agents.
Special Precautions
Not for ophth use. Pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Local irritation, allergic reaction including urticaria, peripheral & periorbital edema; paresthesia; bullous eruptions, dermatitis, contact dermatitis, dry skin, nail disorder, rash, skin exfoliation.
