Initially 8 mg 1 hr prior to anesth followed by 2 doses of 8 mg at 8 hrly intervals. Inj
4 mg IM as a single dose or slow IV inj. Prevention of nausea & vomiting due to chemotherapy Adult Highly emetogenic chemotherapy (eg, cisplatin)
Initially 8 mg slow IV for 15 min prior to chemotherapy followed by 1 mg/hr continuous infusion for <24 hr or 2 inj of 8 mg slow IV or infusion w/in 15 min prior to chemotherapy then at 4-hr interval. Alternatively 8 mg orally twice daily for up to 5 days. Less emetogenic chemotherapy (eg, cyclospamide)
8 mg slow IV or infusion w/in 15 min prior to chemotherapy followed by 8 mg orally twice daily for <5 days. Nausea & vomiting caused by radiotherapy FC tab
8 mg 3 times daily 1-2 hr prior to radiotherapy Childn >4 yr
IV 15 min prior to chemotherapy, followed by 4 mg orally every 12 hr for <5 days. Patients w/ moderate to severe liver impairment
Max: 8 mg daily.
