Description
Allertoin Cream is a cream which contains Ectoin, a natural cell-protective molecule with inflammation-reducing and membrane-stabilizing properties.
It is free of dyes, fragrances and preservatives.
Indications/Uses
Allertoin Cream is intended for treatment and prevention of psoriasis and dermatitis symptoms.
Allertoin Cream supports the natural elimination of dead cells from the skin surface and thereby reduces roughness and hardening of psoriasis plaques. Further, it reduces scaling, itching and redness of the skin.
Allertoin Cream stabilizes the skin barrier and helps to normalize the skin cell production and maturation time of the skin. The cream moisturizes the skin and prevents from further dehydration.
Allertoin Cream relieves and calms irritated and damaged skin by reducing inflammatory reactions and supporting the regeneration process.
Allertoin Cream is suitable for long-term treatment and sensitive skin.
Allertoin Cream is suitable for infants and children.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Always use Allertoin Cream according to these instructions for use and consult a healthcare provider or pharmacist before use if the patient is not sure. If not otherwise prescribed by a healthcare provider, Allertoin Cream should be applied twice daily or as often as needed.
The cream should be gently massaged on the affected skin until completely absorbed. Allertoin Cream is suitable for long-term treatment. If impairment of the skin condition occurs during treatment, or if the condition does not improve even after long-term treatment, discontinue treatment and consult a healthcare provider.
Special Precautions
Allertoin Cream should not be used in the case of hypersensitivity to Ectoin or any of the other ingredients of the cream.
If allergic reactions occur, the use of Allertoin Cream must be discontinued immediately.
Allertoin Cream should not be used on infected skin.
To ensure safe hygiene, this product should only be used by one person.
For topical application on skin only.
Use In Pregnancy & Lactation
Currently, there are no data available regarding the use of Allertoin Cream during pregnancy and while breast-feeding.
Consult a healthcare provider or pharmacist for advice before using this product, if the patient is: pregnant or breast-feeding; not sure whether the patient is pregnant or not.
Side Effects
Allertoin Cream is well tolerated. Up to now, no regularly occurring or persisting side effects are known.
In isolated cases, some short-term local burning sensations may occur.
Please inform a healthcare provider or pharmacist if the patient notices side effects that are associated with the use of Allertoin Cream.
If conditions persist or worsen, contact a healthcare provider or pharmacist.
Drug Interactions
There are no known interactions between Allertoin Cream and other creams. Wait at least 2 hours after using Allertoin Cream before applying any other topical medical devices, drugs, or creams.
Storage
Store Allertoin Cream between 2°C and 25°C.
Allertoin Cream must not be used after the expiry date has passed. After the tube has been opened, do not use for longer than 3 months.
