Indications/Uses
Bronchodilator for maintenance treatment of bronchospasm, associated w/ COPD, including chronic bronchitis, emphysema & asthma.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult & school childn 2 puffs qds. Max: 12 puffs daily.
Special Precautions
Predisposition to narrow-angle glaucoma; prostatic hyperplasia, bladder-neck obstruction, cystic fibrosis. Pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
GI motility disturbances (eg, constipation, diarrhoea & vomiting), dry mouth, headache. Ocular accommodation disorder, cough, throat irritation & paradoxical bronchospasm. Increased heart rate, palpitations, supraventricular tachycardia, atrial fibrillation, nausea, dizziness, urinary retention, hypersensitivity.
Drug Interactions
Intensified bronchodilatory effect w/ β-adrenergics & xanthines.
