Fe deficiency when clinically needed to deliver Fe rapidly to Fe stores, in patients who cannot tolerate or are non-compliant to oral Fe therapy, in active inflammatory bowel disease where oral Fe prep are ineffective.
Discontinue use if hypersensitivity reactions or signs of intolerance occurs. Not to be inj IM. Avoid paravenous leakage at inj site & rapid inj. History of severe asthma, eczema or other atopic allergy. Immune or inflammatory conditions (eg, SLE, RA); acute or chronic infection; bacteraemia; hypotensive episodes. May affect ability to drive & use machines. Avoid use in patients w/ hepatic dysfunction. Not to be used during pregnancy. Lactation.
