Miconazole nitrate 2% w/w, hydrocortisone 1% w/w
Indications/Uses
Fungal skin infections including candidiasis, tinea & pityriasis versicolor.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Apply ≥1 cm to affected area once or bd.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Skin TB, chickenpox, vaccinia, herpes simplex.
Special Precautions
Avoid application in broken skin or under occlusive dressings. Avoid prolonged use in infants & childn & on face. Pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Local irritation & sensitivity reactions; contact dermatitis. Loss of skin collagen & subcutaneous atrophy; local hypopigmentation of deeply pigmented skin.
Drug Interactions
Less effective against Candida albicans w/ amphotericin. Reduced activity w/ rifampicin.

D01AC52 - miconazole, combinations ; Belongs to the class of imidazole and triazole derivatives. Used in the topical treatment of fungal infection.
