Per 5 mL Pholcodine 5 mg, triprolidine HCl 1.25 mg

Indications/Uses

Relief of unproductive or irritating cough associated w/ common cold & flu-like symptoms eg, runny nose, sneezing & watery eyes.

Dosage/Direction for Use

Adult & childn >12 yr 10 mL tds, 6-12 yr 5 mL tds, 2-5 yr 2.5 mL tds.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity.

Special Precautions

Decreased resp reserve & asthmatics. Concomitant use w/ alcohol or other centrally-acting sedatives. May affect ability to drive or operate machinery. Mild to moderate or moderate to severe hepatic impairment. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn ≤6 yr.

Adverse Reactions

Nausea & vomiting, drowsiness, skin rashes w/ or w/out irritation. Mouth, nose & throat dryness. Restlessness, excitement, ataxia & resp depression.

Drug Interactions

Enhanced sedative effects of CNS depressants including alcohol, barbiturates, hynotics, opioid analgesics, anxiolytic sedatives & antipsychotics. Additive muscarinic action w/ atropine, tricyclic & MAOIs antidepressants.
