Symptomatic treatment of seasonal or perennial rhinitis in adults & childn ≥3 yr & acute rhinosinusitis in patients ≥12 yr w/o signs or symptoms of severe bacterial infection. Nasal polyps in patients ≥18 yr.
Seasonal allergic or perennial rhinitisAdult including geriatric patient & adolescent 2 sprays in each nostril once daily, may be reduced to 1 spray in each nostril once daily for maintenance. Max: 4 sprays in each nostril once daily. Childn 3-11 yr 1 spray in each nostril once daily. Acute rhinosinusitisAdult including geriatric patient & adolescent ≥12 yr 2 sprays in each nostril bd. Nasal polyposis Adult including geriatric patient & adolescent ≥18 yr 2 sprays in each nostril bd, may be reduced to 2 sprays in each nostril once daily.
Discontinue use if localized nose or pharynx fungal infection develops. Not to be used in presence of untreated localized infection involving nasal mucosa & recent nasal surgery or trauma. Active or quiescent tuberculous resp tract infection or untreated fungal, bacterial, systemic viral infection or ocular herpes simplex. Immunosuppressed patients. W/drawal symptoms during transfer from systemic corticosteroids. High doses & long-term treatment. Pregnancy & lactation. Growth retardation in childn.
