Why do I need this medicine?
Azelastine is used to relieve inflammation and irritation of the nose. It helps relieve sneezing and runny nose.
How do I use this medicine?
Use this medicine exactly as directed by your doctor or according to the instructions on the label. Do not use more or less than instructed by your doctor.

If you are using Azelastine nasal spray for the first time, remove the cap and press the pump a few times until you produce an even spray. If you have not used the spray for 3 or more days, press the pump twice or more to get an even spray before using.

How to apply:

1. Blow your nose gently to clear the nostrils before using the spray.
2. Hold the pump straight and upright, placing the tip ¼ to ½ inch into the nostril.
3. Spray into the nostril and breathe in gently. Keep your head slightly tilted forward while holding the bottle vertically upright. Do not tilt your head backwards during or after using the spray.
4. Use the spray in one nostril and repeat for the other nostril.
5. If more than one dose is required for each nostril, alternate the sprays between nostrils.
6. After each use, wipe and cap the nasal spray.

Make sure you know how to use your nasal spray. If you have problems or do not understand the instructions, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Do not share your nasal spray with others as it could spread infection.
What should I do if I have forgotten to use this medicine?
Administer the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and return to your normal dosing schedule.

DO NOT double a dose under any circumstances.

If you often forget to use your medicine, let your doctor and pharmacist know.
What should I take note of while using this medicine?
Let your doctor know if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Avoid spraying this medicine in your eyes. If the mist gets into your eyes, flush it with clean water. See a doctor quickly if there is pain, discomfort, blurred vision or any other problems with your eyesight after the mist enters your eyes.
What side effects could I experience?
Azelastine may cause you to suddenly fall asleep during your daily activities such as eating and watching television. Do not drive or take part in any activity in which you need to be alert.

This medicine may cause any of the following side effects: headache, bitter taste, dry mouth, cold symptoms, nose bleed and cough.

Inform your doctor if any of these side effects do not go away or are severe, or if you experience other side effects.
Can I use this with other medicines?
Inform your doctor and pharmacist if you are taking medicines for mood or sleep disorder.

Always notify your doctor and pharmacist if you are taking any other medicines, including herbal tonics such as traditional Chinese medicines, supplements and medicines that you buy without a prescription.
How should I store this medicine?
Keep the nasal spray upright and tightly closed. Store in a cool, dry place away from the reach of children.

Do not freeze.

Medicines must not be used past the expiry date. Discard the medicine 6 months after first opening.
