Indications/Uses
Symptomatic treatment of GERD eg, acid regurgitation, heartburn & indigestion; hyperacidity symptoms.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Special Precautions
Hypersensitivity. Hypercalcaemia, nephrocalcinosis & recurrent Ca-containing renal calculi. Patients on highly Na-restricted diet eg, congestive cardiac failure. Renal impairment. Not recommended in childn <12 yr.
Adverse Reactions
Alkalosis, hypercalcaemia, acid rebound, milk alkali syndrome or constipation.
Drug Interactions
Concomitant use w/ H2-antihistaminics, tetracyclines, digoxin, fluoroquinolone, Fe salt, ketoconazole, neuroleptics, thyroxine, penicillamine, β-blockers, glucocorticoid, chloroquine & diphosphonates.
