Per g Betamethasone 0.5 mg, salicylic acid 30 mg
Indications/Uses
Relief of inflammatory manifestations of hyperkeratotic & dry corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses eg, psoriasis, chronic atopic dermatitis, neurodermatitis (lichen simplex chronicus), lichen planus, eczema (including nummular eczema, hand eczema, eczematous dermatitis), dyshidrosis (pompholyx), seborrheic scalp dermatitis, ichthyosis vulgaris & other ichthyotic conditions.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Apply thin film to completely cover affected area bd, in the morning & night.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity.
Special Precautions
Discontinue if irritation or sensitization develops & if excessive dryness or increased skin irritation develops. Avoid contact w/ eyes & mucous membrances. Pregnancy & lactation. Presence of an infection; adrenal suppression may occur especially in infants & childn; long-term use in infants & childn.
Adverse Reactions
Burning, itching, irritation, dryness, folliculitis, hypertrichosis, acneiform eruptions, hypopigmentation, perioral dermatitis & allergic contact dermatitis. Skin maceration, secondary infection, skin atrophy, striae & miliaria (occur w/ use of occlusive dressings). Salicylic acid may cause dermatitis.
