Indications/Uses
GIT & GUT spasm, biliary system spasm & dyskinesia.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult & childn >6 yr 1-2 tab 3-5 times daily.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Myasthenia gravis, GIT mechanical stenosis, paralytical or obstructive megacolon. Fructose intolerance.
Special Precautions
Not to be taken on continuous daily basis or for extended periods w/o investigating cause of abdominal pain. Seek medical advice in case severe, unexplained abdominal pain persists or worsens together w/ symptoms eg, fever, nausea, vomiting, bowel movement changes, abdominal tenderness, decreased BP, fainting or blood in stool. Narrow-angle glaucoma, patients susceptible to intestinal or urinary outlet obstructions & those inclined to tachyarrhythmia. May affect ability to drive & use machines. Avoid use during pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Anaphylactic reactions & shock, dyspnoea, skin reactions eg, urticaria, rash, erythema, pruritus & other hypersensitivity; tachycardia; dry mouth; dyshidrosis; urinary retention.
Drug Interactions
Intensified anticholinergic effects of tri- & tetracyclic antidepressants, antihistamines, antipsychotics, quinidine, amantadine, disopyramide, other anticholinergics eg, tiotropium, ipratropium, atropine-like compd. Reduced GIT effects w/ dopamine antagonists eg, metoclopramide. Enhanced tachycardiac effects of β-adrenergic agents.
