Pancreatin 150 mg (Lipase 10,000 U, amylase 8,000 U, protease 600 U)
Indications/Uses
Pancreatic exocrine insufficiency, caused by eg, cystic fibrosis, chronic pancreatitis, pancreatectomy, total gastrectomy, gastric partial resections (Billroth I/II), ductal obstruction from neoplasm. Late allograft pancreatitis & pancreatic exocrine insufficiency in the elderly.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Initially 1-2 cap w/ each meal, may be increased to 5-15 cap daily.
Administration
Should be taken with food: Swallow whole or open cap & mix granules w/ soft food. If mixed w/ soft food, swallow the mixt straight w/o chewing.
