Dermatix ADVANCE contains innovative CX5 (cyclopentasiloxane) technology for improved effects in flattening and softening scars. CX5 is a new generation ingredient that offers excellent cosmetic properties, which gives a smooth feeling when applied on the affected area. It is fast drying, water-resistant and dries into an invisible film 2 minutes post-application - so it is very compatible with cosmetics, sunscreen or moisturizers.
Dermatix ADVANCE also has a special type of Vitamin C, which has a neutral pH that is non-irritating to the skin. Vitamin C has been clinically proven to protect skin from the damages of UV rays and help lighten scar marks.
Indications/Uses
Dermatix ADVANCE works on elevated scars caused by a variety of incidences. These may include scars resulting from surgery, burns, cuts, scratches, and even insect bites etc. These scars may become large, thick, dry, elevated and can be dark or red in appearance. It may also be itchy or even painful. Dermatix ADVANCE is suitable for any types of elevated scars on both face and body.
A scar is usually red or darker in color compared to the normal surrounding skin; it is thick, dry, and elevated, and can also be itchy and painful. Applying Dermatix ADVANCE regularly and in the correct manner can soften, flatten, and lighten scars over time. Itchiness and pain will also be relieved with Dermatix ADVANCE.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Applying Dermatix ADVANCE is quick and easy. The patient will observe the best improvement of the scar if the patient comply with the application instructions as follows: Clean the scar area with mild soap and water then pat dry.
Place about 0.5 cm (0.2 inch) size amount at the tip of the scar and gently spread over the clean, dry and intact scar area. 0.5 cm size is sufficient to cover a 15 cm (6 inch) scar.
Apply at the same direction 1-2 times on the scar. (Do NOT rub/massage).
Allow to dry for 1-2 minutes. Once dry, Dermatix ADVANCE may be covered with cosmetics or sunscreen. Apply Dermatix ADVANCE twice daily (morning and evening). The patient will appreciate the improvement of the scars with continued use.
For best results, apply as soon as the wound has healed and closed. For example, the patient can start applying Dermatix ADVANCE 10-14 days after surgery. Significant improvement can be observed especially on fresh scars (up to 3 months old).
Initial improvement may be observed after 8-12 weeks of continued use. For major/bigger scars, use Dermatix ADVANCE for 3-6 months2 or longer until the patient experiences the full benefits of scar improvement.
Special Precautions
Dermatix ADVANCE should NOT be applied to open or wet wounds.
Dermatix ADVANCE should NOT be placed in contact with mucous membranes or applied too close to the eyes.
Dermatix ADVANCE should NOT be used concurrently with other skin medications without the advice of the doctor.
Side Effects
In general, Dermatix ADVANCE does NOT cause irritation, redness or pain. If any irritation occurs, stop using the product and consult a pharmacist or physician immediately.
Storage
Store Dermatix ADVANCE below 25°C and away from heat sources.

Dermatix ADVANCE useful tips: Dermatix ADVANCE will stay on your skin and work on your scar for 12 hours; hence, you need to apply twice daily.
Don't waste Dermatix ADVANCE by applying too much. A small amount to cover just your scar will be sufficient to make it work. If you apply too much, it will take longer to dry with no added benefit.
A 15g tube of Dermatix ADVANCE which upon usage will last for about 2 months, for a 15 cm (6inch) scar.
Before starting the application of Dermatix ADVANCE you may want to take a picture of your scar. For a big elevated scar, you may want to measure its height as well. This gives you a benchmark to track the progress of your scar improvement.
How else can you take care of your scar: You should not expose your scar to extreme temperatures and intense sunlight.
Tight clothing should be avoided in case it irritates or injures the scar tissue.
Pay attention to stretching exercises that may affect the sensitive skin of your scar.
