Doxazosin mesylate
Indications/Uses
HTN. Improve clinical symptoms & increase urine flow in benign prostatic hyperplasia.
Dosage/Direction for Use
HTN & benign prostatic hyperplasia 1 tab daily. Max: 2 tab once daily.
Administration
May be taken with or without food: Swallow whole, do not chew/break/crush.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to other quinazoline derivatives.
Special Precautions
Orthostatic hypotension. Altered absorption & efficacy in accelerated passage through GIT. Hepatic impairment. May affect ability to drive & use machines. Pregnancy. Not recommended in lactation. Childn.
Adverse Reactions
Dry mouth; asthenia, back & chest pain, influenza-like symptoms; peripheral edema, orthostatic hypotension, hypotension, tachycardia, palpitations; dizziness, headache, vertigo; abdominal pain, nausea, dyspepsia; myalgia; somnolence; bronchitis, cough, resp tract infections, rhinitis; pruritus; UTI, urinary incontinence.
