Discontinue use if there is GI bleeding evidence. Not to be used in patients w/ aspirin-sensitive asthma. Regular haematological monitoring in patients on long-term therapy. Patients w/ underlying haemostatic defects, intrinsic coagulation defects, HTN, preexisting asthma, SLE or other connective tissue disorders. History of GI haemorrhage or peptic ulcer; upper GI ulcer, gross bleeding or perforation. Risk of serious CV events eg, MI & stroke. Severe skin reactions eg, exfoliative dermatitis, toxic epidermal necrolysis & Stevens-Johnson syndrome. Perform ophth exam in patients who develop visual disturbance during therapy. May mask signs of infection. Not to be taken w/ ibuprofen-, paracetamol-, aspirin-, salicylate-containing products or any other anti-inflammatory products. Concomitant use w/ anticoagulants, aspirin, ACE inhibitors, angiotensin-receptor antagonists, thiazide diuretics. Avoid abrupt discontinuation in patients on prolonged corticosteroid therapy. Not to be used during pregnancy. Not recommended during lactation. Elderly >65 yr.
