Summary of the safety profile: Meropenem-related adverse reactions most frequently reported were diarrhoea, rash, nausea/vomiting and injection site inflammation. The most commonly reported meropenem-related laboratory adverse events were thrombocytosis and increased hepatic enzymes. (See Table 4.)
