Nutramigen Lipil contains glucose syrup, vegetable oils (palm olein, coconut, soya, high oleic sunflower), casein hydrolysate, (extensively hydrolysed), modified corn starch, calcium phosphate, calcium citrate, potassium citrate, potassium chloride, single cell oils (ARA from Mortierella alpina and DHA from Crypthecodinium cohnii), sodium citrate, L-cystine, sodium L-ascorbate, choline chloride, inositol, L-tyrosine, magnesium oxide, L-tryptophan, ferrous sulfate, taurine, L-carnitine, dl-α-tocopheryl acetate, zinc sulphate, vitamin A palmitate, manganese sulphate, riboflavin, thiamine HCl, vitamin D, pyridoxine HCl, sodium iodide, folic acid, sodium molybdate, vitamin K, chromic chloride, biotin, sodium selenite, vitamin B12.
Action
Nutramigen Lipil contains all the nutrients defined by law necessary for baby's healthy growth and development and can be used as a sole source of nourishment. After consultation with healthcare professional, the baby can continue with Nutramigen 2 from 6 months onwards as part of a diversified diet.
The proteins in Nutramigen Lipil are extensively hydrolysed. This means they are broken down into such tiny pieces that they do not trigger an allergic reaction. It is lactose free. In addition, Nutramigen contains Lipil as a source of long chain omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids.
Lipil is a unique blend of omega 3 (DHA) and omega 6 (ARA) fatty acids. These fatty acids are naturally found in breast milk. DHA at the level present in Nutramigen Lipil has been clinically proven to support visual development in infants.

Hypoallergenic infant formula for dietary management of cow's milk allergy, soy protein allergy and lactose intolerance.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Children 9 to 12 months 5 scoops to 150 mL boiled water (4 feedings daily); 6 to 9 months 4 scoops to 120 mL boiled water (5 feedings daily); 4 to 6 months 5 scoops to 150 mL boiled water (6 feedings daily); 8 to 16 weeks 4 scoops to 120 mL boiled water (6 feedings daily); 4 to 8 weeks 3 scoops to 90 mL boiled water (7 feedings daily); 2 to 4 weeks 2 scoops to 60 mL boiled water (8 feedings daily); 0 to 2 weeks 2 scoops to 60 mL boiled water (8 feedings daily).
Special Precautions
Nutramigen Lipil is intended for the dietary management of cow's milk protein allergy and must be used under medical supervision. Suitable for babies from birth when bottle fed, it can be used as a sole source of nourishment. Nutramigen Lipil is a special formula and does not smell and taste like routine infant formula. Babies fed with this formula may produce frequent loose stools of a greenish colour. Do not change formula or introduce new food unless recommended by the healthcare professional. Cup feeding should be encouraged from 6 months and bottle feeding discouraged after 12 months. Only baby milks and cooled boiled water should be given from a bottle.
Caution For Usage
Instructions for Preparation and Use: Proper hygiene, preparation, dilution, use and storage are important when preparing infant feeds. Powdered formulas intended for infants that are not sterile, should not be fed to premature infants or infants who might have immune problems unless directed and supervised by healthcare professional. Always consult the healthcare professional which formula is appropriate for the baby.
Failure to follow these instructions could result in severe harm.
Once prepared, formula can spoil quickly. Feed immediately after preparation or cover and store in a refrigerator at 2°-4°C for no longer than 24 hrs. Do not use prepared formula if it is unrefrigerated for >2 hrs. After feeding begins, use within 1 hr and do not refrigerate feeding bottle. Throw away prepared formula left in the bottle and clean the utensils.
Do not freeze prepared formula.
Before preparing formula, wash hands thoroughly with soap and water. Clean and boil bottles, teats, caps and utensils in water (1 min at a rolling boil). Boil fresh water at a strong boil for 1 min and leave to cool for 30 min prior to mixing. Do not use softened water. Pour desired amount of the cooled water into the bottle. Add powder into the water. Cap bottle. First roll the bottle between hands and shake the bottle well, until the powder dissolves completely.
Check the temperature by shaking a few drops onto the inside of the wrist.
Avoid using microwave to warm formula, as serious burns may result.
Storage
Store in a cool and dry place. After opening can, keep tightly covered, store in dry area and use contents within 1 month. Do not freeze powder and avoid excessive heat.
